REGIONAL WALKING FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Today, the first preparatory meeting for the first Walking football tournament in the region began, namely in the municipality of Ribeira Brava.
This tournament is aimed at the age group of over 50 and male and female athletes can participate, and it is already scheduled for Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the municipal field of Ribeira Brava and will be attended by several teams from the region. and one from the mainland.
It will be a tournament with two distinct aspects, the competitive aspect and the playful aspect, the latter being of great importance, since female seniors always participated in this aspect, mostly students from the Senior University of Ribeira Brava.
The organizers of the event were gathered; the Benfica/Masterfoot Foundation, RUTIS and the Ribeira Brava City Council, (Ribeira Brava Senior University) as well as the partners; the Madeira Walking Football Association, ATARAM (Association of Arbitration technicians of RAM), the School Sports Services Directorate and the Madeira Veterans League.
